Title:

College and Career Readiness Opportunities With Out-of-School Time Partners in ESSA

Abstract:

The Every Student Succeeds Act takes the place of No Child Left Behind and provides school districts and states with the flexibility they need to tailor education to the needs of their students. The federal law and the state implementation plan place a heavy emphasis on community partnerships and college and career readiness. Come to this workshop to learn how districts and community partners can use the ESSA implementation process to place an emphasis on college and career.

Presenters:

Susan Stanton, Afterschool for Children and Teens Now (ACT Now), Chicago
