Title:

Action Research Regarding Alumni From Vocational Classes

Abstract:

This presentation discusses the results from, and the process used to conduct, an action research study with the primary question of "Why do we continue to see a decline in technology education programs?" Data was collected from past graduates of a high school with the focus on finding out if the increased use of electronic technology in the digital age contributed to the decline of high school programs, and what percentage of high school graduates who transitioned directly from high school to industry felt prepared for employment as a result of being a student in a secondary level vocational course.

Presenters:

Mark Drelicharz, Fenton Community High School, Bensenville
