Title:

Earning College Credit in CTE: A Plan For Refocusing CTE Outcomes

Abstract:

There are few remaining professions that do not require some form of post-secondary education. Accelerating students toward employable credentials and additional post-secondary training is more important now than it ever has been. This session will discuss how one district is bridging the 9-12 education to career gap by offering validated CTE curriculum for college credit. This roadmap is designed to all CTE students to hold a CTE career credential and 15 hours of college credit by high school graduation.

Presenters:

Mitchell Staroscik, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago
