Title:

Anchor Activities for the Family and Consumer Sciences Classroom

Abstract:

As elective teachers, we are continually seeing students of varying grade levels and abilities in our classrooms. Anchor activities are a way to help bridge the gap between students who finish their assignments and labs on time, and those who never seem to finish. Attend this presentation to help get some tricks of the trade on how anchor assignments work, and examples of activities to use in the classroom. This presentation will help to keep the focus on extending the learning as opposed to piling on busy work!

Presenters:

Jennifer Faro, Oak Lawn Community High School, New Lenox
