Title:

Embedded Math In CTE Curriculum

Abstract:

Employers are looking for job seekers who possess math skills which are relevant and meaningful to their industry. Embedded in many CTE courses is the industry specific, relevant math our students need to know in order to gain good employment. Students proficient in "applied" math know how to solve problems arising in everyday life, society, and the workplace. This session will be a lively discussion using math in CTE which adds rigor and relevance to your respective CTE discipline. Examples will be given in various CTE disciplines as well as examples of workplace math necessary for good employment and advancement. Come join us in this lively discussion.
