Title:

Creating Tasks That Align Content Area Instruction with Standards

Abstract:

Content is the vehicle through which students learn but at the heart of instruction must be quality tasks aligned to standards and assessment. How do the tasks you create or use support all students learning? This mini workshop will explore the components of a quality lesson/unit plan, engaging tasks, and an alignment tool to determine quality. This workshop is not content specific but focuses on the path to quality instruction.

Presenters:

Jill Brown, Illinois State Board of Education, Rockford
