Title:

The Poison of Intolerance in the Workplace

Abstract:

Since 99% of workers do not get to choose their co-workers, bosses, and/or customers, ‘intolerance’ of any kind will seriously limit workplace success and greatly diminish career opportunities. Students who expect to survive and succeed in the real world will need traits that enable them to live with, work with, and socialize with others from all walks of life. Workshop attendees will be exposed to proven approaches for teaching students how to understand the root of intolerance, improve their recognition of intolerance, focus on similarities rather than differences in others, and recognize the connection between tolerance and workplace success.
