Welcome to the Technical Assistance for Rigorous Academic and
Career Technical Education Project at Illinois State University!
Beginning September 1st, the project will go into a shut down period and staff will be unavailable. Current FY 16 funding has ended but we are hopeful we will be funded for the FY 17 period. Please check back in October/November for updates.
The goal of the project is to assist the Illinois State Board of Education in initiating pilot programs in High Schools That Work. High Schools That Work (HSTW) is a national initiative designed to prepare students for careers and further education by improving curriculum and instruction in high schools and middle grades. The project will assist in the effort to raise performance in low-performing and urban high schools, while raising the standards in career/technical education. Project staff will work with educational personnel and leaders throughout the state of Illinois to improve the basic skills, technological literacy, and employability levels of all students.
Project Staff Include:
Dr. Ryan Brown - Director
Robin Fraser - Sponsored Project Program Coordinator
Nina Leach - Office Support Specialist
